WoW Item Upgrades
Item upgrades, also referred as "upping", are items or enchantments that can be used to boost the stats of armor and weapons. These upgrade items add a number of points to the level gauge for the item, with the cost increasing with their rarity.
The melee PvP scene highly values a perfectly rolled version of the armor for its ability to reduce damage from weapons.
Type-restricted upgrades
Upgrades are an essential part of the equipment crafting process. Upgrades can be used to increase the effectiveness of an item, enhance its strength or give it an added benefit. They also affect the item's appearance. While some upgrades are universal, other are governed by specific rules for applying to armor or weapons. The wrong upgrade can ruin an otherwise fantastic weapon, and could even cause it to become useless.
As a rule you can only upgrade an item of equipment to the level of its most advanced counterpart. You can only upgrade helms to the highest level. Weapons, on the other hand can be upgraded to the level of a sword. However, this doesn't boost the damage output of the weapon and can reduce its value for trading.
To upgrade an item you need to spend flightstones and crests. The amount of both depend on the item level and slot. Upgrades to a sword, for example will require more flightstones compared to an upgrade of the Cloak. You may also get discounts on the number flightstones or crests required to upgrade an item.
The diamond-shaped indicator on an item is filled when it is upgraded. Each step increases Tier level by one-third. The highest level of Tier is Tier 3. It can take several upgrades to reach this level, based on the item. It is important to remember that any procedure that could mount a disk shouldn't be running during the process of upgrading. You must also ensure that the disk you are upgrading is not being used as an operating system drive.
Enchantment is a function that lets you transform white or Common items into rare or blue ones. Eleanor's Enchantment Shop in the Capital District is where you can do this. This procedure does not add gem or rune slots to the equipment however it does alter its size. It increases the size of the equipment by the size two categories smaller. It will increase the level of items for all items on the route.
Before performing an upgrade, it is essential to stop the PowerShell Universal service and delete the existing application files. Jewels

Jewels can also be crafted on a jewelry table with 1 gem and 5 of the same type of chemical reagents to create a gem of a higher or lower level; this procedure is the same as upgrading a gemstone using a table for gem crafting.
Jewel tiers are determined by the number of modifiers that they possess. Jewels with higher tiers have more than lower-tier jewels. The primary effect is determined by a jewel's tier. The secondary effect is random. The players can use luck potions in order to increase their chances of obtaining more beneficial secondary effects.
Like other upgrade components jewels can be inserted into an item that has an appropriate socket to increase the. For example, a Garnet Pebble (gemstone) and an Adorned Garnet Jewel (jewel) both provide a bonus to strength, but the Garnet Pebble is only able to increase regular hits, while the Garnet Jewel also boosts the player's strength. Jewels can be put into every level of armor, weapon, and accessory slots, as well as some trinkets with rarer or exotic nature that require a slot that is not used.
Like other DM mechanics, gems help to ensure that items are special to their owners. Requirements

If a player chooses to make an upgrade the item will be taken to the NPC who upgraded the item who will explain the procedure for upgrading the item. The player will then have to provide the appropriate currency needed for the upgrade and could be asked to supply additional materials if necessary. These requirements are determined by the level of the item. Weapons have more strict requirements in comparison to armor.
Many upgrade recipes contain an acceptable material list as well as the components required. This list lists the other upgrade components are available on the item, and also includes a flag indicating whether that item is guaranteed to boost or additional effect. This is important as the value of an upgrade can differ greatly based on its 'extras. For instance, perfectly rolled gear can be worth much more than the non-upgraded version.
